Dylan 5-15-08 : Roots of American Music (ROAM) Celebrating Bob Dylan's 67th Birthday a Benefit for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, at the Nighttown Jazz Club, Cleveland Hieghts, Ohio. With music by Maggie's Farm and various guests.

Want to contact the photographer you may do so by email: roskojp2@netscape.net, the photo's in this album have only been converted from RAW to JPEG no other enhancements, other than some cropping.

Roots of American Music (ROAM) began in 1999 as the Fairmount Music Education Fund. The organization, a non-profit, 501(c) 3 corporation, currently employs more than 30 musicians/educators who collectively have thousands of school performances to their credit.

ROAM strives to create exciting roots-music-based assembly and residency programs that connect to state and district standards in the arts, social studies and other subjects.

ROAM’s programming content is as varied as the genres of music performed by the musicians. ROAM carefully works with municipal educators to create cross-curricular programming that emphasizes multiculturalism, racial and ethnic diversity and respect.

ROAM’s programs are often presented in schools that would otherwise not be able to offer their students any music education or performance.

ROAM’s residencies are filled with the joy of music, giving students the chance to sing, play, make instruments, learn about musical form and create their own music – while learning the history of their country, state, city and neighborhood.

Gardens Under Glass : Betty Zimmerman has taken her flower garden to a whole other level. Self-taught, Zimmerman has grown, collected, pressed and created fascinating and beautiful pictorial arrangements with her flowers. Her pressed flowers are not colored, altered or chemically preserved but are naturally pressed and arranged within a beautiful matte and frame.

These photos are my attempt to show you the talent and beauty in these pictorial arrangements, they fall short of seeing the actual originals on display there spectacular. These photos are displayed for your viewing pleasure only.

The exhibit will be on display until November 15, 2007 and for sale at the The Holden Arboretum, in the Warren H. Corning Visitor Center, the show is free to members, and is included with gate admission for nonmembers.
